It’s long been said that the mark of a good song is to see how it translates to being played acoustically. Turns out that International Blue by the Manic Street Preachers is a great track.
With deeper vocals, finger movements on guitar strings and barely audible countdowns James Dean Bradfield performs and intimately minimalist take. Entitled International Blue (The Bluer Skies Version) it exposes a side to the Manics that throughout their near three decades of politics, glamour, heartbreak, and controversy people tend to forget – their superb musicianship and craft, and their understanding of what makes a song tick.
